July 24th

We had a great pioneer day this year. We decided to wake up early and head to Bloomington Lake, which is a lake in the middle of the mountains that is a glacier lake. Needless to say it was cold. But there were lots of people there jumping off the rope swing into the ice cold water. Annabelle actually wanted to go near the water… Finally!!!

We decided that after about an hour we were to cold so we drove to the ice caves in Paris Idaho. It’s a cave in the middle of the mountains that at all times of the year has ice all through it.

We had a lot of fun and Andrew and I tok turns being adventurous and went into the cavies in the back of the cave which were pitch black but with a good flash light and my new camera we actually got a few pictures of it. We had a great family day and just a tast of our Oregon trip

Bear Lake

Well Annabelle and I(mommy) went up to Bear Lake this week with our good friend Kami just for the day. Kami is from there and had a dentist appointment so we decided to join in the fun! We went to the Lake for a few hours and after a little coaxing(about a half hour) Annabelle actually sat in the water and played it was lots of fun. I just thought i would share some really cute pictures of the event

Our Camping Trip

This weekend we decided to head up my(lindsay) favorite canyon here in cache valley. Smithfield canyon. We decided to head up the free camping side and we found an amazing spot right by the river. Annabelle loved every minute of it. She ran around the whole camp site, well except by the water (she does not like water one bit). We made camp fire pizza's... and I must say wow they were good, and not just because I was the chef.

It took a lot of diesel fuel for our fire to get started. Smithfield had a down pour earlier that week and so all of the wood was soaked!!! Eventually thanks to both mine and Andrew's amazing survial skill the fire was up and burning hot.

After dinner we took Annabelle up to the tent and after a lot of coaxing and crying we were able to get her to sleep.

Andrew and I enjoyed a wonderful night next to the fire and enjoyed the soothing sound of the river.

Although the rain started up through the night we were able to stay nice and warm inside our new truck tent!

All in all we had an amazing weekend and I think we will be heading out camping again this weekend!
